Drive in and drive through sometimes spelled drive thru are storage rack configurations that allow the forklift to drive directly into the lane of stacked rows called a bay.

Both drive in and drive through rack systems allow more efficient use of available space than traditional multi aisle selective racks systems. The difference between a drive in and a drive thru pallet rack system is simply whether the bays have an entry at only one end or at both ends. Drive in and drive thru pallet racks are created to utilize more unused warehouse space than any other pallet racking system available. Both the area and the height available for use are accessible via forklifts which can actually be driven through the racks to permit additional storage access for up to six full pallets deep.
